Indications are for increasing north-easterly winds, northward of East Cape and Kawhia ana variable winds elsewhere, but strong north-west ruling and hacking to south shortly. The weather will be cloudy to overcast generally, with rain following. The barometer is falling everywhere, but will be rising m the south after 24 hours.
