TOO MANY HOSPITAL BOARDS
MINISTER AND DANNEVTRKE DEPUTATION. [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Last Night. In referring to hospital matters brought before him by a deputation from the Dannovirke Hospital Board, Hon. J. A, Young, Minister of Public Health, said: “Wo have too many Hospital Boards already and it is a great mistake to divide them. We get more efficient service without division. Wo have 48 Boards in the Dominion. I don’t think it is good further to Increase the nunmber." The question in dispute was the division of revenue from portions of the Patengata and Walpulcurau counties between the Dannevirke and Waipawa Boards. As h 0 is not sure whether the agreement could be legalised, the Minister will look into the matter and consult his Department.
