FARMERS’ UNION
MONTHLY MEETING.
The monthly meeting of the ManaM’atu .provincial executive of the Farmers’ Union was held on Saturday, Mr O. P. Lynch presiding. There were also present: Messrs F. R. Wright. F. Maul, A. G. Dean PL. Tippler, B, G. Gower, H. Bond, J. Gloyn, A. Keith, T. D. .Clifford and C. G. Higgins On. A letter received from the secretary. Mr E. .11. Wright, stated ..that the provincial conference would he held at Wanganui on May IS and 1 19, and that all remits would have to :bo in by April 30. A meeting of I district .secretaries would be held at Palmerston North as soon as possible latter that date to attend to the preparation of printing. It was decided to enter a team of six men to compete in the annual shooting match under the auspices of the union. The match, which will ho fired on either Ap"ll 3 or 7. will be inter-provincial instead of interbranch. The selection of teams was left in the hands of the To Horo and Wailcanae branches. It was decided to hold the annual meeting on May 1 at Palmerston North, instead of at the conference. No meeting will be hold next month.
