The championship pairs have been concluded, and resulted in a win for I Murray and Giigliardi (skip), i Four teams have been selected to play off -with a view to selecting a champion rink to take part in the champion of champion rinks at Palmerston North on March 13. | The following will represent the club against Levin for the Kinniburg Feathers: Knowles, Bartholomew, Roach, Jones (skip). \ Athletic Club. ] Great preparations are being made for th e first meeting of the Athletic Club, to be held shortly. A working bee has been Hard at work turning the Domain into a race track, and it is expected to have a lirst-class cycle | track completed very shortly. Entries a-e coming in freely, and a good day 3 sport should eventuate. Plunket Society. The committees are working very Strenuously for the respective baby candidates. A concert and dance was held du'-ing the week, the proceeds ot , which were to be divided between the three candidates to give them a start. A large parly from. Alangahao was in attendance, and % jolly evening was enjoyed by all. There are to be numerous entertainments —garden parties. dances, social evenings, street stalls, and any tiling that will bring in a few shillings for the candidates.
