The grant of £1,000,000 to assist marketing Empire produce has become a bone of contention in Cabinet, according to the “Evening Standard,” which learns the grant will be reduced to £500,000 for the current year, following a decision to make it available for home produce in addition to overseas. in an effort to avert a widespread dispute.
