REFEREES’ ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING.

The seventh annual meeting of tho Manawatu Rugby Referees’ Association was held last evening when the president, Mr. C. W. White, presided over a large attendance of members. The Year’s Record.

In moving the adoption of the annual report and balance sheet the chairman said the Association was to be congratulated on bringing off a moat lengthy season in such a satisfactory manner. The number of games controlled was a record for the Association and probably the number of games was also the greatest that the Rugby Union had had for many years. Four members had gained certificates for controlling big matches. He trusted that during the ensuiing season, other members would gain Ifhe coveted “goal”. It had been suggested that the annual match with the Horowhenua referees be played earlier, so as to allow a conference to be held. In view of the amalgamation of the Rugby Unions it was thought that the conference of referees would i establish a uniform code of rules over [the two large districts. He thanked the members for the hearty support that had been accorded him as chairIman. The Treasurer was also heartily [thanked for his great assistance and for the able manner in which he had carried out his strenuous duties. The motion was seconded by Mr. J. B. Proud and carried unanimously. Election of Officers. The office-bearers for tho ensuing year will 1 be: —President; Mr. .0. W. White, Vice-president; Mr. 0. D. Fraser. Hon. secretary; Mr. E. W. Low. Selector; Mr. C. W. White. Representative to the Rugby Executive; Mr. C. W. White. Hon. Auditor; Mr. P. C. Campbell. TECHNICAL FOOTBALL CLUB

Tho annual meeting of the Palmerston North Technical School Football Club will be held on Monday next at the school at 9 p. m.
