MEETING OP SUB-COMMITTEE.
lA meeting of thb Manawatu sub centre of the, N.Z.A.A.A. was held last evening, Mr T. Stubbs, presiding.
The following sports programmes were approved: Linton, Sandon, Waipawa, Kumeroa-Hopelands. Permission was granted the following bodies to include amateur events in their programmes:—Oroua Downs, Heretaunga, Fltzherbert East, Kimbolton Clubs, Dannevlrke Caledonian Society. Waituna West Club, Manawatu Caledonian Society. Shannon Club was granted permission to conduct sports meeting on March ;27th, subject to affiliation application being put in order. It .was decided to inform the Manawatu Club that unless it handed over to a.Feilding winner a medal won by him at the 1925 meeting, within 14 days, the matter would be reported to Wellington for action. It was resolved to write the Wellington Centre suggesting that this year’s country club’s championships should be allotted to Manawatu Club, which had already made application for the meeting.
In connection with the reinstatement of professionals, the Wellington Centre wrote/advising that if the applicants had competed outside a 50 mile radius from an amateur club they should have a good chance of immediate reinstatement. The Wairarapa sub-centre wrote justifying the inclusion of F. A. Dsuzell, of Dannevirke, in the Masterton, Club’s team at the recent provincial championships.—After discussion it was decided to bring the matter officially under the notice of the Wellington Centre. Taikorea-Glen Oroua Club advised that no sports would be held this year, owing to lack of interest.
