FEILDING TAKES DIXON CUP The match for the Dixon Cup at Terrace End on Saturday resulted in a win for the challengers, Feilding Club, which was represented by Ross, Clapham, Quale and Herdman (skip.) The holders were Christensen, Moffat, Wallace and Carter, of Terrace End, who secured the trophy from Dannevirke a fortnight ago. The Terrace End team put up a strenous fight The first head went to Feilding with two points. Terrace End had evened up the score at the end of the third head but failed to notch any more points till the ninth head was reached, when they added two, bringing the score to 13—4 against them; By the time the twelfth head was finished the score stood at 14—9. Feilding continued to keep their lead of five points to the sixteenth head. The eighteenth and nineteenth heads were disastrous to the local players, Feilding registering four and three points for each. The game finally ended Feilding 23—Terrace End 15.
The next challengers for the Cup are the Shannon Club. —-
