ROAD HOGS
In Constantinople the Turkish motorist lights a cigarette .tightens his fez, honks his horn and “throws it wide open.” He goes over the cobblestones forty miles an hour .down the narrow, hilly streets, passing street ears, on either side, careering around dark corners, and is careless about hitting anything except a car heavier than his own. There is an abundance of policemen in the city who do every thing but direct traffic. There are three killings by cars and a proportionate number of less serious casualties every day. ' .
