GERMANY AND ITALY

ANTI-FASCIST! CAMPAIGN.

LONDON, January 24

Unusually strong protests are being made in the Italian press against the anti-Fascists campaign, which is in progress in Germany in connection with the treatment of German minorities in the Upper Adige. ' 1 It is alleged, says the Rome correspondent of the “Times,” that the campaign is due to the Germans’ desire to arrive at Geneva, when Germany becomes a member of the League of Nations, with abundant material for submission to the League.

“What happens In the Upper Adige is purely a matter of internal Italian politics," declares one Fascist journal. “Italy will not tolerate outside interference or advice—hot even from the League of Nations.”
