LEADERS IMPRISONED ON CRUISER.

The rising lasted twenty-four hours. The prisoners taken totalled 120, including Major Almeida, who is In command. Two batteries of artillery were concentrated by Major Almeida opposite Lisbon, which fired a number of shells towards the capital, injuring fifteen people and damaging a number of houses. The fortress of San Jorge replied vigorously and the duel lasted three hours. A rigorous state of siege was established, order soon restored and the leaders imprisoned on a cruiser.
