Mr. Wilfred Buckley, founder and chairman of the National Clean Milk Society, in giving evidence before the Food Council, said the average London milkman was obtaining dishonestly from 30/- to 50/- a week by giving short measure and selling the surplus. Some of the employers connived at the practice and also regularly gave from 5 to 10 per cent, of short measures l n bottles.
