A record for low late of infant mortality is accredited to the Franklin Memorial Hospital, Waiuku, the district representative on the Auckland Hospital Board, Mr. J. D. STRINGER COLLINS. -■at* A very pretty wedding of much interest to Woodville people, was solemnised In St. David’s Presbyterian Church o n Tuesday, the contracting parties being Myra, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Collins, of Woodville, and Mr. J. C. M. Stringer, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Stringer, of Waitati . The bride, who entered the Church on the arm of her father, looked charming in a dainty frock of ivory marocain, trimmed with silver. She wore the usual veil and orange blossoms and carried a beautiful shower bouquet. .. Miss Mavis Collins, sister of the bride, attended as chief bridesmaid, and she wore a lovely frock of salmon pink satin marocain with sliver bands on her hair. 'Her bouquet was pink. Miss Iris Collins, bridesmaid, wore powder blue satin marocain with silver hair band, and carried a bouquet to match, Miss Gwendoline Collins was flower girl, and her dainty frock was of creme qropo de chine, with insertion and blue sash. She carried a basket of flowers. Tho duties of best man were carried out by Mr. Baker, and those of groomsman by Mr. Eric l-'hllp. The Rev. It. Gardiner was the officiating clergyman, and after the ceremony a reception was held at' Turnbull's tea rooms, Mrs. Collins receiving her guests in a saxc blue and jazz jersey frock with hat to match. Mrs. Stringer wore a cream and pink fugl silk frock with hat to. match. Mrs. Rickard, the bride’s grandmother wore .black satin with hat to match. Later ,the happy couple left for the South with the best wishes of their friends for their future happiness, the bride travelling i n an apricot jersey silk frock with hat and coat to match. HALL—BRITTAIN. Miss, Edith Dorothy Brittain, only daughter of Mrs Brittain, Dannevirko, and the late Mr R, H. Brittain, of Birmingham, England, was married at St. John’s Anglican .Church, Dannevirke, on Wednesday afterenoon to the Rev. Rupert Thomas Hall, elder son ,of Mr and Mrs G. B. Hall, of England. The ceremony %yas v performed by the Rev. Archdeacon Slmkln. The bride, who was giydn away by her brother. Mr R. 3.
