PUTTING FEUDING ON THE FILMS. /
The general committee of the Feilding Chamber of Commerce met last evening, Mr V. E. Smith presiding. In connection with the proposal to take a moving picture of the trip on the daylight Limited, including all towns on the line, it was decided to ascertain how much space it was proposed to allot Feilding, should it de. cide to come in. The promoters asked for £lO for the Inclusion of Feilding. Some m ambers thought the town reeded advertising and should be kept on the map. It was resolved to make further enquiries and a special committee consisting of the secretary and Messrs A. J. Kellow and C. Jeffs vere appointed to deal with the matter.
Lengthy correspondence was received from the Employers’ Federation protesting against the proposed regulations governing motor omnibus traffic and asking the chamber to join in the protest. The following motion •was carried: “This Chamber is of opinion that regulations to govern motor omnibus traffic are necessary and that the matter can be left with confidence in the Leader of the Government, which should bring the matter before Parliament rather than carry it ay regulation. The Chamber decided to approach the Railway authorities with the request that the old system off weekly debit notes to merchants doing business with the department be reinstated in place of the new system.
