TOUR OF OROUA CONCLUDES. The Minister of Lands (the Hon. A. D. McLeod) accompanied by Mr J. B. Thompson (Under-Secretary of Lands), and Mr A. W. Mulligan (Minister's Private Secretary), completed his tour of the Oroua electorate yesterday and proceeded on to Masterton. At Rangiwahia the Ministerial party was entertained at luncheon when the settlers did themselves great credit The cordiality of the welcome gave the Minister real pleasure. At Mangaweka the town was festooned. The Town Board, thvough its chairman, laid local grievances before the Minister. The Putorino soldiers’ settlement had a happy welcome for the Minister, who promised to help the soldiers in regard to improving the drainage of the settlement. A request from the Otamakapua settlement £hat the establishment of a school be expedited received prorppt attention.
