STOCK SALES

ADD SHEEP QUITTED.

CATTLE SHOW IMPROVEMENT.

The weekly stock sate at Fending yesterday did not attract a great number of entries. All sheep that came forward were quitted under the hammer at improved rates. The offerings comprised mainly surplus ewes and lambs, although there was a pen of' particularly attractive pure-bred Romney ewe lambs, which realised 35/- and a pen of fine pure-bred Romney ewes, which made 43/-. Both lines went to a buyer from the King Country. There was a small entry of fat sheep, which sold well and taking It on the whole, the sheep sale was most satisfactory.
