BY POWER BOARD GANG. Since the fatality in Manchester street, the Power Board » gang engaged in changing over the wires has been commencing work at 4 a.m., and very satisfactory progress has been made. The cutting off of the juice enables the/ men to work more quickly, for danger from an electric shock has been eliminated. After an hour for breakfast, the gang resumes afc 9 o'clock in the back street portions of the town and finishes up its day of 10 hours at 4 p.m. In the summer months it is the practice for the men t-> work two hours longer, for which they are paid overtime.
