BELFAST FKEE2 JNG WORKS. BORNE BY INSURANCE COYS. [Per Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH. Jan. 15. The insurance companies affected will lose about £9,000 as the result of a Are at the Belfast Freezing Work* on Thursday night It Is estimated that the loss In the case of building and machinery is ninety per cent and In the case of wool, seventy-are per cent The whole works are insured in London and Lancashire Office for £116,000 and the cover over the wool room .which was destroyed, Is £7040 The loss on building' and machinery Is £6OOO. The wool damaged Is worth £4,000 and the loss Is £9,000. There Is some doubt whether Lloyd’s office holds all the Insurance on the woo* and the local agents cabled to-day to London for definite Information.
