KOSY. A five-reel comedy, “His Darker Self,” starring Lloyd Hamilton. ‘'The Tango . Cavalier,’’ "a five-reel melodrama, starring George Larkin in a moat exciting' role —a two-reel comedy “Saturday Night,” are three gramme, with a News and Cartoon to make up the three hours. PARAMOUNT THEATRE. “Madame Sans Gene” is a dramatic story of the days of Napoleon and the delightful romance of a laundress who became a duchess. In order that the story might bo correct in every possible detail and in order that the true spirit of the romance could be brought to the screen the Paramount officials decided that the picture would be made in Prance with entirely French actors and staff. Gloria Swanson was chosen to go to France to play the title roro but she was the only one who could not lay claim to a French birthright in the picture. “Madame Sans Gene” is now’ showing at the Paramount Theatre. ODDFELLOWS’ DANCE. The Oddfellows’ Hall was well filled last night when the usual weekly dance of the M.U.1.0.P. was held. Several novelties provided for the amusement of patrons had the desired effect, everybody having a very hapx)y time. Squeaker balloons caused much fun, the twilight dances as usual being very popular and the lucky spot prizes were won by Mr. T. Nepia and Miss P. Walker. During the proceedings, occasion was taken to announce the fact that the wind-up dance of the present season will take place on Decemner 7 when many new novelties will be introduced. Extras were played by Messrs Q. and J. Matthews. Messrs. Dilks and Catteriok were M’s.C. Mesdames Catterick and Evans chaperoned the assembly and the music was supplied by an efficient orchestra.
