Speaking at the official welcome by the New South Wales Cricket Association to the New Zealand cricketers Btr. Sydney Smith, honorary secretary of the Board of Control, said it was regretted the next Australian XI could not visit New Zealand on their way to England. There was a chance, however, that it would return via the Dominion.
