AUSTRALIAN LOAN.
NERVOUS INVESTORS REASSURED. BUT NO DUMPING ON LONDON. [By Electric Cable—Copyright.J (Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Monday, 7 p.m.) LONDON. July 12. The "Daily Telegraph’s” weekly financial review says:—“The fact that tlie Commonwealth has obtained a loan in the United States should reassure those who wore nervous concerning autumnal demands for our gold, in view of the indigestion from which wo are suffering, evidenced by the discounting of the last two Colonial issues. Wo see no ground for adverse criticism of Australia’s new departure. On the contrary, wo ought to be grateful to America for supplying Australian's needs, providing stringent measures are taken to prevent American dumping bonds here as soon as the loan is floated.”
