ITALIANS DISAPPOINTED. [By Electric Cable—Copyright.] [Aust. and N.Z. Cable .Association.] ROME, Juno 22. The “Daily Chronicle” states that tho betrothal of the Princess Mafalda has disappointed the Italian people, as Philip is throneless, and ntearly related to the Hohenzojlerns. The Italians had hoped that one of theii Princesses would marry into a reigning family. Philip is a Lutheran and the Princess is of tho House of Savoy and not supposed to marry a Protestant without Papal dispensation. This difficulty, however, has been cleared up and the marriage is likely to take place in August. The Prince and Princess will live in Rome, near the Italian King.
