It argues that the forces dominating Cabinet have made representations to Mr. Baldwin that half-hearted protection would be of no avail in dealing with unemployment and it is essential the Government should be released from its pledges against a general tariff, “Reynold’s’ ” adds; “It is believed the Protectionists are now in the majority in the Cabinet and &n appeal to the country for a free hand is only a' matter of time."
