SICK COMPORTS FUND.

SACRED CONCERT AT PALACE.

To help the Palmerston North hospital fund for sick comforts, a sacred concert was held last night in the Palace Theatre, when £l7 5/. was raised. Though there was not a verj large audience, it was an enthusiastic one, and every item was encored. The following was the programme: — Hisses Buchanan and Eyre, pianoforte duet (Liszt 2nd.- Rhapsodic).; Messrs Palmer and Beere, guitar duet; Miss Ricketts, song (“O Divine Redeemer”); Mrs Freeman, song (‘‘An Emblem”); Mr J. Oarde Grimshaw, song (“Wait”); Mrs McDonald, song (“Rose”); Mrs C. P. Nash, song (“He Wipes the Tear”); Mr C. Bell, Xylophone selection. Mrs Paton was accompanist, Mrs S, V. Trask organiser, and the programme was in the hands of Mesdames L. H. Collinson, J. Elliott and J. B. Wilton. The piano for the concert was kindly lent by Mr A. J. Berryman. ,
