AIR MAILS STOPPED.
SOUTH AFRICAN EXPERIMENT TECHNICAL SUCCESS BUT FINANCIAL FAILURE. [By Electric Cable —Copyright. | [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association. j (Received Tuesday, 7 p.m.) After three months of experiments, the Union air mail service has been discontinued, on the gjound that it is unremuncrativc. The last flight from Capetown to Durban takes place today. From a flying point of view the service has been a complete success, and attained 100 per cent, efficiency. It was well up to time on every trip, and there was not a single mishap; but the support, both in Britain and in the Union, was inadequate.
