THE ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL
INTER-ISLAND GAME.
It is understood that although the North and South match will be played at Invercargill, the date will be subsequent to the departure of the New Zealand team for Australia in which case the game will be the official “test” for the New Zealand v. New South Wales match at Auckland in September. Any trial for the purpose of selecting the New Zealand team for Australia will no doubt be played at Wellington. Members of the 1924 All Blacks are eligible for the Australian tour after all. „
I A meeting of the Western United Club Management Committee was held last night. It was decided to hold the annual dance on June 3rd, and arrangements arc already in hand. The Western Club have several vacancies in the fourths —a chance of starting for some young players who haunt the line.
