BEAM WIRELESS.

AFRICAN AND CANADIAN SYSTEMS. HIGH POWER WORK SUSPENDED [By Electric Cable —Copyright.] [Aust. and NZ Gnlvo \ssorlation.] CAPETOWN. July 25. It is expected that a Ministerial announceemnt will shortly be made that the Government has decided to suspend temporarily the erection of the high power wireless station at Klipheuvel, to give the Wireless Company of South Africa an opportunity of demonstrating the effectiveness of the new directional beam system. If the trials are satisfactory the station now being erected, which was to have been one of the largest in the world, with an output of 750 kilowatts, will be wholly or partly superseded by a 25 kilowatt station. This, it is claimed, will work at a higher speed and with greater secrecy.
