FARE THEE WELL
REV. H. G. BJLAOKBURNE’S RETIREMENT. A meeting was held in All Saints schoolroom last evening for the purpose of arranging a presentation to the retiring vicar, Rev. H. G. Blackburns. Mr A. Skarman presided, and after addresses by the chairman, Messrs. Oscar Monrad and R. S. Abraham, the following resolution was passed at the instance of the two last-named gentlemen: “That committees of ladies and gentlemen be set up to arrange for a presentation to the Rev. H. G. Blackburne, and that they report to a general meeting to be called for 8.15 p.m. on Monday, April 14, in the schoolroom.” Mrs Lionel Abraham was selected for the office of convener of the ladies’ committee, the initial meeting of which will be held at the Church of England Girl’s Club on Thursday April 3 at 3 p.m. Mr Oscar Monrad was appointed convener of, the men’s committee, and Mr Martyn Abraham was appointed 1 the general treasurer. It was decided to hold the first committee meeting at the board room of Messrs. Abraham and W'lliams Ltd., this afternoon, at 5 o’clock.
