At the request of the Science Con_ gross, tho United States scout cruiser Milwaukee, sent to Australia, arrived to-day. The object of the visit is to give the Congress opportunity of of witnessing a demonstration of tho Sonic depth finder. The warship stays eight days. Tho Congress has concluded Its Melbourne session. The general opinion of the/leaders is that tho meeting has been a great success. It re-asscmbles at Sydney on Thursday,
