KIMBOLTON NOTES.

A large number of members and supporters of the Football Club gathered together at the Hall on Saturday evening last for the purpose of making a presentation to Mr. Frants Nesdale, who is about to join the ranks of the benedicts, and to leave for Auckland at an early date. _ Mr. W. Hansen was voted, to the chair ana the proceedings, which took tlfe form of a smoke concert, opened with a selection by the Hawaiian orchestra, under the direction, of Mr. Pat Hauison. The following toast list was then gone through: “ The King,” proposed by the chairman; " Kimbolton Football Club,” Mr. W. H. ilesseltine and responded to by Mr. J. S. Parsons junior; “Old Football Enthusiasts,Mr. T. Taylor, Mr. Stackhouse; “ The Ladies,” Mr. K. McNae, Mr. H. Bryce; “ Our Guest,” chairman, Mr. Nesdale; The Touring Team,” Mr. A. R. Bartlett, Mr, W. Scott: “ Kindred Sports,” Mr, F. Nesdale, Mr. W. Taylor. During the eve'ning, Mv, Hansen, on behalf of those present, took the opportunity to present Mr. Nesdale with a casket of cutlery, as a token of the esteem in which he is held by his colleagues and supporters of the Club generally, and at the same time wished him and his intended every happiness and prosperity in their new surroundings. Mr. Nesdale, in returning thanks, said that he would always look back with pleasant memories of the good times he had had in Kimbolton, and hoped that he would be able to return at some future date to renew old acquaintances. During the evening musical items, songs, etc., were contributed by Messrs. Graham, J. McGregor, H. Lewis, Castles, Bristow and Harrison. The proceedings terminated with the singing of “ Auld Lang Syne.”
