evidence of the recent snowfall at Rangiwahla was still present yesterday when visitors to the town viewed a snowman, constructed whilst the snow fell.
The construction of the kerbing and water channelling in connection with the East Street footpath is nearing completion and as soon as the summer weather arrives, the work of laying down the asphalt will be commenced.
There is to be a meeting in the Borough Council chambers this evening at 8 o’clock, with a view to resuscitating the boy scout movement. The Mayor (Mr J. S. Tingey) is the convener and it is hoped that all interested in the movement will make an effort to attend,

Mr M. P. Corrigan was confined to his bed yesterday suffering from an attack of influenza.
Messrs. A. Hamilton and J. Ashbolt arrived in Feilding yesterday by motor from Wellington. Mr S. G. Perry, of Waituna, who is in hospital in Palmerston North, was yesterday reported to be improving somewhat.
