HOCKEY TO-DAY.
FEILDING V. NELSON, Hockey enthusiasts should witness a good match to-day, when the touring representative team from Nelson will meet Feilding's representatives on the Pligli School ground. The local Association is to be congratulated on its energies in the direction of bringing about this match which shou.d prove a stimulus to the game in Feilding. The following team has been selected to represent Feilding (the numbers given are for the purpose of enabling spectators to recognise tho players):—(l) H. Vail, (2) G. Boswell, (3) J. Fergusson, (4) R. Teague, (5) A. Le Compte, (6) M. Worsfold, (7) H. Harford, (8) V. Wallis, (9) L. Amos, (10) L, Anderson, (11) R.> ■Stuart. Emergencies. W. Mingins, A. E. Haynes. LADIES’ TEAM. The Ladies’ team to play against Manawtu on Saturday is as follows: (1) L. Avison, (2) N. Richardson, (3) R. Snellgrove, (4) A. Harris, (5) M. Wilkie, (G) W. Wilkie, (7) M. Amadio, (8) M. Gibobns, (9) E. Worsfold, (10) M. McKclvie, (11) B. Dewe. Emergencies: M. Harris, L. Barrow and M. Spooner. ASSOCIATION MEETING. The Feilding Hockey Association mot on Wednesday evening, Mr W. Groube, presiding. In regard to representatives matches, it was decided to write Napier, Wanganui, and Dannevirke, advising that owing to change of half-holiday and spell of bad weather, this Association was unable (o arrange for rep. matches at present. •It was also decided to advise the M.I.A. ladies’ team (Dannevlrke) that play-off against Sandon for tournament medals must bie played at Feilding. An application was received for the formation of a Wednesday team to play under the jurisdiction of Manavvatu.—Decided to hold the matter over until further information had been obtained.
