Some little time ago certain business people in tU.' town were approached in regurd to advertising on menus, and convinced by the person introducing the idea that it was worth considering:, with the result that much money was collected, but no advertising followed. The matter was put in the hands of the police, and two days ago the alleged offender was apprehended at Napier, and was remanded to Feilding, arriving last night. He will appear this morning to answer various charges of alleged false pretences
