FIRE AT PARK ISLAND.
OLD PEOPLE’S HOME IN DANGER (Per Press Association.) NAPIER, Last Night. A fire at Park Island destroyed the residence of the master of the Old People's Home. For a time anxiety was felt for the safety of the 90 inmates. The quarters of the latter, however, which are of brick, were only slightly touched. The work of removing the old men was soon discontinued.
