NAVAL RETIREMENTS.

Mr Massey Greene has announced that compulsory retirements werd contemplated in the Navy, the same as n the Army, but the number of r®dundant officers’ ratings was considerably less, owing to the fact that number lent by the British Navy would be sent back on a basis o i compensation the same as in the Army, with certain adjustments.
