RUGBY FOOTBALL.
To-day's football on the Showgrounds is signalised by the fact that the whole of the proceeds from the gate is to be devoted to charity. Three senior games commencing at 3 o'clock will be played simultaneously, and junior games take place, prior to the big matches. In the. senior division most interest should attach to the Old Boys v. Woodville game. The others are R.S.A. v. Jackeytown, and Kia Toa v. Western United. INTER-ISLAND MATCH. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Last Night. The following are the teams in the inter-Island match to be played today:—North Island: Brook (Wellington), Siddells (Wellington), Hickey (Taranaki), Borrell (Bay of Plenty), M. Nicholls (Wellington), Byrne (King Country), H. Nicholls (Wellington), Bellis (captain, Wanganui), Calcinai (Wellington), McCullough (Auckland), O'Brien (Auckland), Brownlee (Hawke's Bay), Cupples (Hawke's Bay), Masters (Taranaki), and Shearer (Wellington). South Island team: Bell (Otago), Svenson (West Coast), Steel (West Coast), Fitzgerald (West Coast), Dickenson (Otago), Fea (captain. (Otago), Matthewsoti (Otago), Carnegie (Canterbury), Goodall (West Coast), Smyth (Canterbury), Whyte (Southland), Richardson (Otago), Williams (Otago), Turpin (Canterbury).
