PUBLIC OPINION.
THAT SEVEN PER CENT LOAN. (To the Editor.) Sir.—ln Thursday's Issue you commented upon the haste which caused the payment of seven per cent, upon the recent Borough loan of £IBO.OOO. A banking official informs me that th loan could be negotiated at 5J per cent.. which would have effected a cash saving of £28,246 during the currency of this loan. —I am etc.. PIERPONT MORGAN.
