WOODVIMjE. In connection with "Poppy Day" the president of the local R.S.A. invites {ill ladies willing to assist in selling- poppies to attend a meeting to be held in the R.S.A. Club on Tues. day next at 3 p.m. The poppies which were made in Northern France will be sold at 1/- each on Monday 24th April, Anzac Day, about one quarter of the proceeds will be forwarded to France to be distributed amongst the widows and children of fallen soldiers, the remainder to be retained by the N.Z.R.S.A. for distribution as directed by the R.S.A. executive. The annual meeting of the Woodville Golf Club takes place in the Borough Council Chambers on Friday 31st instant.
