ABYSSINIAN RAID.
A REASSURING STATEMENT. [By Electric Cable —Copyright] [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Tuesday, 9 p.m.) LONDON, September 5. A reassuring statement has been received from a trustworthy quarter regarding the Abyssinian incursion into Kenya. It is pointed out that such raids are not unusual. No danger to the colonists is anticipated, hundreds of miles of desert separating Abyssinia from Kenyan. The European settlements are regarded as an efficient barrier against attack.
