BEEF DECLINES, STORES AND! LAMBS ADVANCE.
(Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. At Addington there were large yardings of all classes of fat stock. Beef eased in value. Light mutton was a shade weaker, but fat lambs sold, much better. Store sheep also met an improved sale. There was a smaller . yarding and a much brighter demand. A good clearing was effected. Good., forward lambs 9/ to 10/2, fair wether lambs 2/11 to 5/, ewe lambs 6/6 to 10/4. Forward 4 and 6-tooth wethers* 8/9 to 12/, good 4 and 6-tooth ewes in tymb 14/3 to 19/, superior 10/10 to] 12/4, good 4, 6 and 8-tooth ewes 14/'s to 16/2, ordinary 10/ to 11/6, 2-toothj ewes 10/ to 13/. For fat lambs there was an active demand from freezers,.,-] prices averaging about 6ld to 6Jd.' Extra prime lambs 25/, prime 19/3 to . 22/3, medium 17/ to 19/, light un-J finished 12/1 to 16/3. Fat sheep.—g There was a big yarding and prices; were maintained, except for light ewe mutton, which was easier. Freezing;; buyers did not buy so freely as last| week.
