(Stoc ..rtment(, Pahiatua, report on .. undermentioned sales as follows At Pong...oa, on Thursday, 3rd inst., we yarded about 900 sheep, and with the exception of one pen of wether lambs we effected a total clearance under the hammer. We quote the following sales: 290 2-th wethers, 20/-; 112 do., 18/6; 201 4-yr ewes, 19/-; 88 wether lambs, 9/-; 30 cull lambs, 3/8. We had a small entry of cattle, ■yVhich were not sought after. At Woodville on Monday, 7th inst., we had a yarding of 500 sheep and a good yarding of cattle. We quote the following sales: —59 4-ths, 19/6; 60 m.s. 2-ths, 15/9; 12 do., 15/8; 14 fat ewes, 16/-; 22 wether lambs, 13/10; 80 m.s. lambs, 13/-; 68 ewe lambs, 13/-; 8 S.H. heifers, £5/12/-; 9 weaner heifers, £3/3/-; 1 spg. heifer, £7/15/-; bulls from £6/10/-, £4/5/-, £3/10/-, to SO/-; store cows from £3/5/- to 30/-. At Pahiatua on Tuesday, Bth inst., we held our usual weekly sale in the Farmers’ Yards, when we had a good yarding of sheep and a fair yarding of cattle. The market, especially for sheep, was dull. We quote the following sales: —143 m.s. lambs, 9/9; 159 do., 9/2; 119 do., 5/152 2-th wethers, 15/4; bulls from £5, £4/17/6, £4, to £3/12/6. FEILDING ram fair. LEYjN & CO. REPORT, At the Ram Pair on Thursday and Friday last there was a large attendance of buyers from all parts of this district, also from Dannevirke and up Main Trunk line. The rams were for the most part of good quality and these sold well at payable prices, but there were some pens of low conditioned, rubbishy sheep that would not have made decent wethers, for which there was asolutely no demand. Southdowns sold at particularly high figures, yet notwithstanding this fact some vendors saw fit to pass their sheep in. There was absolutely no demand for Lincolns. We quote stud romneys on account of B. W. Sandilands, 1 at 18gns; on account Jos. Corpe, 6 at from 10 to 25gns; on account C. G. Dermer, 1 at 7Jgns; Flock Romneys on account of B. N. Sandi4igns, average £4/9/3; Tawerg Estate, 25 at 2 J to lljgns, average £5/0/8; C. G. Dermer, 20 at 6Jgns, highest price 16igns for pen of 3, Stewart, 3 at 3gns; W. H. Gibson, 6, average £5/19/-; B. N. Sandilands, highest price 16Jgns for pen of 3 , average for 22 £6/4/7; J. Knight 10, average £2/17/9; D. W. Reid, 10 at Ign; Henson Bros., 10 at Signs; Jos. Corpe, 20 at ign; W. E.
