CHURCH BAZAAR.
The Cuba Street Methodist Church building has now seen very many years of service, and it is proposed to replace it with a new and more modern structure. With -the aim of augmenting the building funu, the church people opened a bazaar in the Oddfellows' Hall. Cuba Street, yesterdav afternoon. Judging by the liberal support being accorded by the public, and the energetic efforts of those responsible for the promotion and carrying out of the bazaar, the funds will benefit to a considerable extent. There were large attendances during both afternoon and evening, and the many and heavily laden stalls, with their enticing wares, did brisk business. The stallholders were: —Produce: Messrs Allman and Sanson; plain work: Mesdames Mowlem, Usmar, Wild on and Edyvan; butcher's shop: Mr D. Collis; cooked food: Mesdames Allman and Sanson; sweets: Miss Melles and senior Bible Class ladies; variety: Dorothy Ferguson: jumble: choir, with Mrs Twigg and Miss Killick in charge; tea rooms: Mrs Hodder. The bazaar will be continued this afternoon and evening'.
