BOWLING.

DIXON CUP MATCH. The Woodville Bowling Club sent their strongest rink to Palmerston ©a Saturday in search of the Dixon Cup, of which the Palmerston Club are the holders. The visitors were: Wardrop, Pickering-, Nicholson and O'Gormon (skip). The defenders were: H. Seifert, Welch, J. A. Xash and N. H. Nash (skip). Woodville played a remarkably fine game up to the 14th head and at times the scores stood level. However, from this head onwards they fell away and the game ended in Nash's favour by 25 points to 14.
