Enquiries were made by the Or <l. ITodgens at the meeting of the Borough Council last evening as to what companies had the insurance on the, borough buildings, how in nek was paid to each, and when the policies fell due, and he asked for a return of these to he supplied to the Council. —The* Town Clerk pointed out that the insurances on the offices were held by one company, which had had them for years. The same applied to other borough buildings, Cr B. Beale said ho had always understood that the firms drew/ for the insurances each year, but it was pointed out that thi. applied only to the employees’ insurance. The Town Clerk was asked to supply the return.
