THEFT OF FUNDS. (Per Press Association.) NAPIER, Last Night. At the Supreme Court, James Scheelc, late secretary to the Hospital Board, was sentenced to three yearsb reformative treatment for the theft of about £I4OO from the board. He had pleaded guilty, and given the police and auditor every assistance. The case of alleged theft of union moneys against James C. Murphy, alias Sullivan, local representative of the Seamen’s Union, has commenced, and was adjourned until to-morrow.
