CRICKET
The annual meeting of the Palmerston North High School Old Boys' Cricket Club was held on Saturday night. Mr W. P. Anderson was in the chair and a large number of members were present. In spite of the older members going into camp as they come of military age, it was decided by the younger members to still carry on the game. Last year the club had a successful season and succeeded in winning the senior competition. The following officers were elected: President, Mr J. E. Vernon; vice-presidents, Messrs T. E. Hodder, O. Monrad, W. P. Anderson, J. Murray, J. A. Colquhound, W. F. Durward, F. S. Goldinham, J. E. Hardie; secretary, Mr F. McLaehlan; delegates to- Manawatu Cricket Association, Messrs A. Fox, F. McLachlan. The competition commences on Saturday, October 26th, when Old Boys play P.N. High School.
