BIG HAUL OF PRISONERS
[Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Sunday, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 18. Sir Douglas Haig reports: The numbir of prisoners in the operations on the Bohain-Le Cateau front exceeds 4000. Wc also took a number of guns. Wc continue to advance on the whole front between the Senseo Canal and Lys. We crossed the canal on a wide front northward of Cambrai and are now astride and Douai-Denain road, four miles south-eastward of Douai and have captured a number of villages.
