Pigeons for the War

At the request of the Imperial authorities. the pigeon fanciers of Ncav Zealand are dispatching regular shipments of homing pigeons to be used on the Western Front. The local Homing Pigeon Association have to-day dispatched their first quota of 30 birds, Avhich were donated by tiio following persons; —R. Hosking, 7, F. Iloxtall 5, R Taylor 2, A. Law 2, L. Dahl 10, E. Griffiths 4. Tho club has undertaken to supply 200 firstclass yearlings Avithin the next four months. South Island fanciers have donated 250 birds and English fanciers have, donated 60,000. All these birds have been donated free of cost to the Imperial Government. The secretary of the local Pigeon Association will bo. pleased to furnish any intending breeders Avith further particulars, and also assist new fanciers.
