lawn Tennis.

A very successful combined handicap Yankee tournament was held at the Linton Street tennis courts on Saturday. There were 40 entries and some keen contests were witnessed. Mr E. Dairies (1(5) won all his six matches, whilst of the ladies Mrs Binns (ser.), Miss Morrah (10). Miss Smith (IS) and Miss Baldwin CIO) were equal, each losing one match. In ihe play-off Miss Smith and Miss Baldwin were defeated and the final between Mrs Binns and Miss Morrah will be played this week.
