RUSSIANS STILL FIGHTING
STUBBORN BATTLES REPORTED.

Wednesday’s Russian official report says: On the northern front our vanguards, after a stubborn battle, obtained possession of the Massif southward of Lake Plaudo and a foothold in tho Schkorshen-Silamouya line. Thursday’s communique says: Our vanguard are advancing in the district of Riga. We continue to hold the Mistzupepaus-Kebayar line. Intense artillery fire is in progress southward of Vidza. . Wo took possession of a height southward of Radautz and repulsed all counter-attacks. In the direction of Riga our advanced detachments fighting their way forward occupied Kulis village in the coast region and captured Peine southward of the .Pskoff road, taking prisoners and booty. Wo advanced to Rentzon and penetrated to the southward of the town.
